INFORM study alerts: Uncontrolled processes and lack of data on truck inflow control and delivery of goods lead to enormous drops in efficiency
This study applies to truck inflow control in industrial enterprises. Truck inflow control is to a certain extent a chokepoint that connects internal logistics with external logistics. While trucking companies have been optimizing their processes for years with the help of MRP systems and enterprises have been managing their internal supply logistics or warehouse management at a high cost, the matter of truck inflow control still needs to be dealt with. This means enormous drops in efficiency due to long goods delivery waiting times and uncoordinated unloading of trucks.
