    Assigns an optimized position in the yard or staging area to each load unit (container, empty container, reefer, hazardous cargo, semi-trailer, etc.). The overall goal is to use space efficiently, keep retrieval distances short, and to reduce the number of rehandlers considerably.

  • Crane Optimizer

    Dynamically assigns each work order to the corresponding crane and optimizes their sequence of work orders reducing travel distances and improving on-schedule performance.

  • Vehicle Optimizer

    Assigns each transport order to the most suitable vehicle in real-time and creates multiple transport chains reducing waiting times and minimizing empty travels.

  • Train Load Optimizer

    Automatically creates optimized train load plans in both pre-planning as well as in real-time while loading is in progress. The result is a faster, on-schedule train dispatch and a significantly higher train load capacity.

    Calculates an optimized sequence of unloading and loading points for each truck and automatically assigns the required handling equipment reducing overall turnaround times.

Train Load Planning

Train Load Planning

SyncroTESS creates optimized train load plans automatically in both pre-planning and during daily operations. While loading is in progress, last-minute changes are recalculated in real-time and intelligently assigned to the handling equipment.

Railway car and container information for both incoming and outgoing trains are imported into the system via interfaces allowing the software to efficiently create optimized train load plans. The overall goal is to:

  • Use space efficiently,
  • Maximize the number of load units per railway car and train,
  • Minimize pin configuration changes.

The result is a faster, on-schedule train dispatch and a significantly higher train load capacity.

Yard Control

The software uses available container data to calculate an optimized yard location for each loading unit. Special load unit requirements (e.g. hazardous cargo and reefers) are automatically taken into account. The overall goal is to:

  • Use space efficiently,
  • Minimize retrieval distances,
  • Reduce rehandlers considerably.

With agile optimization, existing terminal space is used efficiently allowing for increased flexibility during high traffic, peak cargo periods.

Trucks arriving at the gate are automatically, or manually, registered. SyncroTESS calculates the sequence of the drop-off and pick-up positions and provides the truck driver with precise instructions for their route through the terminal. As the software automatically assigns the required handling equipment transport orders the truck can efficiently move through the terminal reducing overall turnaround times.

Handling equipment (i.e., reach stackers, terminal tractors, and rail cranes) receive real-time optimized work orders to move and lift load units. SyncroTESS analyzes all jobs and equipment simultaneously, combining jobs where useful. This helps to:
