INFORM announces management change: Dr. Jörg Herbers to pursue new roles and continue advising the company

INFORM, an internationally active pioneer in AI-powered optimization software, today announced a change in its management team. Dr. Jörg Herbers has decided to step down from his role as Managing Director effective May 1, 2026, in order to pursue new activities, including the strategic development of the AI ecosystem in Aachen. At the same time, he will remain associated with INFORM in an advisory capacity and will support the company particularly on technology and in matters of cross-organizational technology cooperation.
The remaining Managing Directors, Dr. Andreas Meyer and Peter Frerichs, will jointly assume Dr. Herbers’ previous responsibilities. The transition has been prepared over the past weeks together with the extended management team. INFORM will continue to pursue its corporate strategy with a clear focus on AI-based Decision Intelligence, internationalization, and sustainable growth.

Dr. Jörg Herbers joined INFORM in 2000 and has been a member of the management team since 2021. During this time, he helped build expertise in areas such as AI models, data infrastructure, and scalable software architectures.
