LOWERING COSTS AND INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY

For more than 15 years engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines entrusts the optimisation of their multi-stage transport chain to the software SYNCROTESS, product of Aachen's company INFORM GmbH.

The flow of material at MTU has undergone a permanent change over the course of the years. The number of individual pick-up points alone has increased from 60 in the past to over 300 today, spread out over the entire 500,000 square metre factory premises. Thanks to the current development of further production lines, more pick-up points will also be created and the transport distance covered within the factory grounds will be increased even further. In this case SYNCROTESS also helps to forecast the expected effects on the flow materials in good time and as accurately as possible and thus constantly tap new optimisation potential.
