Finished Vehicle Logistics

Finished vehicle logistics is the fascinating world of delivering cars from a truly global production to customers around the world. Quality and punctuality are important drivers to satisfy the customer´s needs in the vehicle logistics processes.

Vehicle logistics is a complex task focusing punctuality and quality in the vehicle distribution. In contrast to other logistics, the processes are highly unique due to the damage handling and hold management. Additionally, a car is often "work in progress" as it receives its accessories or full customization close to the customer´s location.

When INFORM started optimizing vehicle logistics systems, we considered concepts, algorithms and best practices from other sectors to develop the best possible solution. Today we offer vehicle logistics software systems specifically made and improved to empower companies around the world to enhance their part of the automotive outbound supply chain.

And already today we are shaping the industry's future. The availability of driverless cars and car2car communication will even further accelerate the need for intelligent vehicle logistics software systems taking decisions automatically. Just imagine your future yard management system automatically orchestrating the unloading of 3,000 vehicles from a vessel at an auto terminal...

Network Planning

Network Planning

The network planning in vehicle distribution on a global or regional level is a complex task with many thousands of variables. INFORM´s solutions offer flexible optimization of the entire distribution network in real-time. The vehicle logistics software SYNCROTESS enables the planning and simulation of complex distribution networks within the shortest possible time. The intelligent system also considers individual conditions by its innovative optimization technology.

Vehicle Yard Management

Vehicle Yard Management

It requires an intelligent coordination system to manage vehicle yards where large numbers of vehicles arrive and depart on different transportation ways. Therefore, SYNCROTESS creates full transparency of all vehicles and their movements on the yard. All information about supplies, location and status of each vehicle in storage or within the technical center is available at any time. This way, parking spaces and processes are optimized.

Further information about vehicle yard management is available here.

Vehicle transport management

Vehicle Transport Management

INFORM´s suite of finished vehicle logistics software products is completed by a transport management system for carriers. The system optimizes the loading of individual trucks and vessels at the car terminal as well as the management of regional and global distribution routes.
