The growing order volume and increasing market dynamics have significantly raised the demands on production planning. This was further complicated by the concept of 'simultaneous engineering', where production scheduling begins even before the product design is finalized. As a result, there are permanent changes to the ongoing process.

All these challenges prompted the company to look for a dynamic planning system. In view of this complexity, the SAP ERP system in combination with Excel spreadsheets was no longer sufficient for reliable planning.

At TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK, FELIOS has been used as a supplement to the existing SAP ERP system since 2012 and is implemented via standardized interfaces. This enables the add-on to retrieve all planning-relevant data from SAP, write it back after processing, and create optimized schedules to achieve the best possible overall results.
